Durable aluminium stair nosing profile designed to improve stair safety, slip resistance and edge visibility. Suitable for indoor stairs made of wood or stone, with a wide anti-slip insert area and optional contrasting insert on the vertical face.
The profile provides R13 slip resistance when used with the appropriate anti-slip insert and is suitable for demanding public, commercial and residential environments
The Aluminium Stair Nosing Profile 53 × 31 mm is a robust safety profile designed to protect stair edges while improving slip resistance and visual contrast.
Manufactured from high-quality EN AW-6060 aluminium, the profile features a wide upper tread section designed to accommodate a 30 mm anti-slip insert. An additional insert can also be applied to the vertical face of the profile, helping to create a clearly visible contrast at the edge of each step.
The profile is particularly suitable for indoor stairs made from wood or stone, as well as stages, platforms and similar raised areas. It is not intended for installation over textile floor coverings.
With suitable anti-slip inserts, the system achieves a high R13 slip-resistance classification, making it a suitable solution for areas where enhanced pedestrian safety is required.
Installation can be carried out mechanically using the factory-prepared countersunk holes, screws and suitable plugs. Depending on the substrate and application, adhesive installation using an appropriate mounting adhesive is also possible.

This stair nosing is particularly suitable for:
The profile should be installed onto a clean, dry, flat and contamination-free surface. It can be cut to the required length and mechanically fixed through the factory-drilled holes using screws and suitable plugs.
After fixing the aluminium profile, the self-adhesive slip-resistant insert is applied into the recessed tread area.
As an alternative to mechanical fixing, the profile may also be installed using an appropriate mounting adhesive where the substrate and application allow it.
