The BS 103 is a customizable tactile and Braille handrail sign designed to provide accessible information and orientation for blind and visually impaired users.
Manufactured from stainless steel 304 or aluminium, the sign is shaped to fit directly onto the handrail, providing an elegant and discreet accessibility solution without interfering with the architectural appearance of the surrounding environment.
BS 103 features embossed Braille inscriptions and can also incorporate laser-etched text, symbols or pictograms, allowing each sign to be customized according to the requirements of the individual project.
The dimensions and curvature can be adapted to different handrail diameters, making BS 103 suitable for a wide range of handrail systems and applications.

Handrail signs can provide information such as floor numbers, room or destination identification, directions and other wayfinding information, helping blind and visually impaired users navigate buildings more independently.
BS 103 is designed for quick and secure installation directly onto the handrail. Depending on the project and handrail surface, the sign can be supplied with TESA 4965 double-sided adhesive tape, eliminating the need for complex mechanical installation.
Each BS 103 can be manufactured according to the requirements of the project. Dimensions, handrail diameter, Braille inscription, visual information, pictograms and material can all be customized, making the product suitable for both individual installations and complete accessible wayfinding systems.
