The Tactile Map L is a large-format, fully customized 3D tactile orientation map designed to provide accessible wayfinding and spatial information for blind and visually impaired users.
Combining raised tactile graphics, Braille, raised lettering and high-contrast visual information, the map creates an intuitive representation of the surrounding environment that can be explored both visually and by touch.
With dimensions of 120 × 60 cm, Map L is designed primarily for large buildings and facilities exceeding 3,000 m², where a more comprehensive overview of the surrounding space is required.
The map is supplied as a freestanding solution and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation, making it particularly suitable for large public, commercial and transport environments.
Tactile Map L provides users with a comprehensive overview of larger and more complex environments.
Important elements such as entrances, accessible routes, corridors, elevators, staircases, rooms, facilities and key destinations can be represented through a combination of tactile and visual information.
By providing clear tactile landmarks and an understandable representation of the surrounding environment, the map helps users develop a mental map of the space, supporting greater independence and confidence when navigating unfamiliar locations.

Tactile Map L is designed as a freestanding orientation point, allowing it to be positioned where users naturally need information about the surrounding environment.
Typical locations include main entrances, reception areas, major intersections, elevators, staircases and other key orientation points. The documentation recommends strategic placement of tactile maps at these types of locations to communicate the layout of the space and accessible routes.
The 20° inclined map surface provides a comfortable reading position and supports interaction with the tactile information.
The tactile-map system is designed around universal accessibility and ergonomic principles, with consideration for users of different heights and abilities, including wheelchair users, children and people with visual impairments.
