Versatile aluminium stair nosing for new and retrofit installations, designed to protect stair edges and increase visibility and slip resistance. The 39 × 29 × 2.5 mm profile features an adjustable bending point and can be installed using screws or a suitable adhesive.
Designed for use with fully bonded resilient and laminate floor coverings.
The 33870 Aluminium Stair Nosing Profile is designed to provide durable edge protection for stairs while helping improve the visibility and slip resistance of the stair nosing.
Manufactured from EN AW-6060 T66 aluminium, the profile measures 39 mm wide × 29 mm high, with a 2.5 - 6 mm gauge. Its compact all-aluminium construction provides a clean architectural finish without requiring a separate PVC insert.
Profile 33870 is suitable for both new and retrofit installations. For linear installation, the anchoring leg is secured to the subfloor before the installation of fully bonded resilient or laminate floor coverings.
A particularly useful feature is the pre-determined bending point, which allows the stair nosing to be adjusted to the geometry of the stairs during installation. The profile can be mechanically fixed using its countersunk holes or installed using an appropriate adhesive.
The manufacturer also identifies an alternative use for Profile 870: it can be installed on walls as a separation profile for wall coverings or on kitchen and bathroom backsplashes
